Since 2007, Sundance Institute’s New Frontier program has fostered exciting independent artists, documentarians, coders, designers, and journalists who experiment with the language, forms, and tools that will become standards for future storytellers. The Day Lab is designed to share their learning, encourage participants to expand their creative practice, and challenge them to contribute to the evolution of story. New Frontier alumni and advisors will present on their groundbreaking documentary projects in interactive film, transmedia art, data-based storytelling, nonfiction gaming, and virtual reality.
